Depth of Field


This assignment requires us to snap four photos to exhibit depth of field. Using three objects lined up diagonally, the objective was to have all of them in focus for one shot, and have three separate pictures of each object focused on its own.

For the above image where I have all three shot glasses in focus, I used an 8 second shutter speed with f/22 aperature. For the images below, I used 1/20 second shutter speed with f/1.8 aperature. I used a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens for all my pictures. Below you can see the front, middle and back shot glasses in focus, respectively.
